In the first week of February, the entire iGaming world turns its attention to London, where delegates from dozens of countries will converge for a number of red letter gambling events. The week will see the city host the ICE Totally Gaming expo – where all the most cutting edge gambling tech will be on show – and the London Affiliate Conference – where all the biggest and best brands can be found represented in one place.
However, arguably the biggest event of the week will be the Global Gaming Awards – an event which will see the biggest and best gaming brands from around the world recognised for their contribution to the industry over the last 12 months. It’s no exaggeration to say that companies everywhere waiting with baited breath to find out if they’re going to win, and with this week’s news that the nominations are in and the voting has begun, anticipation is at a fever pitch.
About the Global Gaming Awards
One of the reasons that the annual Global Gaming Awards London is such an important event, and watched closely by many around the world, is that it covers so many different aspects of the gambling industry, both online and off. While other awards ceremonies might be focused on just online casinos, or look most closely at a certain kind of gaming, these awards have a super broad scope.

There are two stages to the process that decides the winners. Firstly, there’s the nomination process in which six industry insiders research the brands which might be eligible for awards in each category, and compile a nomination shortlist for each of them. It was announced just this week that this part of the process is now complete, and the shortlists have been passed on to the voting panel.
Voting is carried out by 46 experts in the online, mobile and physical gambling industry. This might sound like a lot, but when you’re talking about such prestigious awards, it’s important to ensure that those voting represent a cross section of expertise and experience. The power is now in their hands to decide which are the operators and brands which enjoy success this year.
We’ll check back in with you when the event has taken place – on Monday the 5th February – and fill you in on all the winners of the night.
