Wins of Fortune Features Overview
Wins of Fortune is a 5 reel slot, with reels of differing heights. The unique layout of the game means that reels 1 and 2 are three symbols high, reels 3 and 4 are four symbols high, and reel 5 is five symbols high. The slot boasts 76 to 259 ways to win and it’s playable from as little as 20p up to £100 per spin. The slot will be launched on the 13th of June and will be available on desktop, mobile and tablet devices.
Visually, the game delivers everything we expect from a Quickspin slot; it’s stunning. The reels are set against an almost mythical valley, and symbols include five different coloured gems and four characters from the fable itself. Sun Wukong (the monkey) is the slot’s highest paying symbol and he will give you 50 coins for a five of a kind win. The wild is aptly labelled ‘wild’ and will substitute for all other symbols.
The unusual layout is the main feature is the game’s main feature, as it changes when the bonus features are triggered. The first bonus feature is the Wins of Fortune Re-Spin round, and this is activated when you create a winning combination in the base game. The symbols will each move one reel to the left, and a new reel will appear in place of reel five. As the previous reel five has moved to the left, this now gives you two five-symbol-high reels
With more symbols on the board, the number of ways to win increases with every re-spin too. The game will evolve from 76 ways to win to 90, then to 154 ways, then to 164 ways, and then to 259 ways to win. If you win four consecutive times, you’ll then be playing on a traditional 5×5 grid.
If you win a fifth consecutive time, you’ll trigger the Super Re-Spin bonus feature. This is played on a 5×5 grid with 259 ways to win. In this bonus feature, all winning symbols are sticky, and they will stay in place each time the game re-spins, until there are no more extra winning symbols on the reels.
Wins of Fortune doesn’t have a scatter symbol, and there’s no free spins up for grabs. However, as the game re-spins on every win, you can still win big! If you reach the Super Re-Spin round, for example, there’s a huge 2,757x your total stake to be won! From first appearances, we’d say this game is medium to high variance, but we’ll have to wait for it’s release to confirm that fact.
Our Verdict
Quickspin are well known for their abilities to deliver a great game to all devices, so as fans of mobile gaming, we’re excited. However, without too many bonus features, we can see why some players may not be so enthusiastic about this release. That being said, we’d argue that it’d be a mistake to overlook this game as the bonus features it does offer are particularly lucrative and the fast-paced action of the re-spins is well worth looking forward to.
