Blackjack is one of the most enduringly popular table games for mobile casino players. It has also always proved to be somewhat of a thorn in the side for developers trying to come up with new elements to make the game pop. While things like slots allow for pretty much infinite new features and ways to play, blackjack is stuck with basic gameplay that you can’t just tag on new features. Instead, you have to get creative with what you’ve already got.
Cue JACK Entertainment, which are releasing a brand new blackjack variant this week, featuring innovative betting system. While other blackjack variants have relied simply on side-bets to create new elements to the game, JACK Entertainment has really pushed the boat out.
JACK JACK Blackjack
The game in question has been named JACK JACK and the basics of the game borrow from classic blackjack. That’s where you’re dealt cards and have to get closer to 21 than the dealer, without exceeding 21. Ok, so far so good — we all understand blackjack. Here come’s JACK’s new element though – on top of the standard game, the payout you receive on winning hands changes depending on the colour combination of the winning blackjack hand.
Say you’ve landed blackjack (i.e. two cards that add up to 21), usually you’d just get the same payout regardless of the cards’ colours. In JACK’s game, if one card is black and one is red, you get this normal payout.
However, if both the cards are red, you’ll get a slightly bigger payout of three to two. Better yet, if you end up with both your cards being black, you’ll get a whopping payout of 2 to 1! This increased payment system is totally unique to JACK JACK and is a fantastic way for keen blackjack players to enjoy a new angle on the game.
Other Great Blackjack Variants To Look Out For
JACK Entertainment isn’t the only table games developer looking to make blackjack more exciting. There’s plenty of competition constantly trying to come up with fun new additions to liven up this centuries old game. While we could offer you a great big long list of other developers doing similar things, we think that when it comes to blackjack, you only need to know one name: Felt Gaming.
Over the last year, Felt Gaming (so named for the felt on casino tables), had released not just one, not just two, not even just three, but a staggering six different blackjack variant games, all with a different side betting option attached. From allowing players to create poker hands with the cards their dealt, to playing hi-lo games or betting on the colour of cards, Felt’s imagination knows no bounds when it comes to lightening up blackjack.
They even brought all those variants together into one mega game with six different side-bet options. The unique Blackjack 6 in 1 gave players the unprecedented opportunity to enjoy half a dozen different side-betting options on each hand, making it easier than ever before to enjoy big wins on the back of losing hands.
