Its full steam ahead at IGT this month, as the software developers continue with their games roadmap for April and release news of another two new slots coming your way. Whilst March saw the launch of three new titles from the brand, April will be all about two highly anticipated slots, Ghostbusters Triple Slime and Balloonies Farm.
Both games are very different from each other, yet both promise to be full of great bonus features and innovative designs. Balloonies Farm will be the first to be released on 13th April, with Ghostbusters going live shortly after on the 27th. Balloonies Farm Mobile Slot — 13th April
Balloonies Farm is the follow up to IGT’s original Balloonies slot and it’s a 5-reel, 20 payline game. When the first Ballonies slot was released, way back in 2014, it was launched as a mobile only slot, however Balloonies Farm will be available across all devices, including desktops and tablets. It can be played from as little as 20p a spin and features wilds, free spins and cascading reels.
In Balloonies Farm the reels are decked out with the same cutesy graphics as the original game, but this time you’ll see pigs, cows, sheep and the like – we are on the farm after all. The cascading reels feature replaces winning symbols with new ones and they’ll keep on coming so long as you carry on creating combinations. However, unlike most cascading reels features, the symbols will float up from the bottom, which makes sense as they are balloons.
The wild of the game is represented by the star and, when they form part of a winning combination, they will give you up to a 5x multiplier. If more than one wild is making up the combination, the multipliers will be added together, which makes these symbols particularly lucrative.
Balloonies Farm also features a free spins round, which is triggered when three or more red bonus balloon symbols appear on the middle three reels. You’ll be granted 2x your stake immediately, and then given an option of choosing between more free spins or bigger multipliers.
For instance, you could take 15 free spins with 2x multipliers on the reels, or 5 free spins with 5x and 10x multipliers on the reels. This round has the potential to give you some enormous wins and it’s definitely the most exciting feature of the game.
Ghostbusters Triple Slime Mobile Slot — 27th April
Ghostbusters Triple Slime is a 5 reel, 720 ways to win slot, and it’s playable from just 50p a spin. The game features IGT’s much loved MultiWay Xtra technology, which means that you can win both ways on adjacent reels. Ghostbusters Triple Slime is the second Ghostbuster title from the brand, and the game has been highly anticipated from both fans of the film and fans of the original slot.
Ghostbuster Triple Slime looks fantastic. The slot features the characters from the classic film (not the 2016 remake), as well as paraphernalia from the films, including helmets, proton packs and tons of ectoplasm. The highest paying symbol is the Ghostbusters logo itself, and this will reward you with a whopping 10,000x your stake for five of a kind.
Stay Puft is the wild symbol and appears only on reels 2, 3 and 4 – it substitutes for all symbols except the Ghostbusters logo and 2 scatters. Ghostbusters Triple Slime is a MultiWay Xtra engine game where you get wins for any matching symbols in any position in adjacent columns – you get wins from left to right or right to left.
The wilds in Ghostbusters Triple Slime are illustrated by the famous Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and he will appear on reels 2, 3 and 4. He substitutes for all other symbols in the game apart from the Ghostbusters logo and the scatter symbols.
There are two scatter symbols in this slot, and these each trigger a Slime Bonus Round. They both trigger different bonus wheels and dish out different prizes. The basic Slime Bonus turns each scatter into a bonus wheel, and the prizes on offer depends on where the scatter lands on your reels. For instance, a reel five wheel will grant you up to 2,000 coins.
